3D Sky Channel

So Sky are doing a test broadcast of 3D TV this weekend.
Just wondered if anyone knew the channel details, freq etc.

Anyone going to one of the 9 pubs to watch the game?

This broadcast is in stereoscope, so just need glasses and will work on a normal TV.

Will be a while before they start broadcasting 3D tv only programs.

So on a Sky setup (similar to adding ITV HD) just try adding the 3D channel shortly before kick-off?
As you say, won't hurt trying, cheers for the info.

I think The 3d channel would be live tomorrow as thats when there showing the Arsenal v man utd game. Can't see it showing anythink before hand as in content.
Won't be showing content 24/7, will just be when they choose. Plus if you ain't got a 3dtv then it's not worth it as it's just gonna look out of focus

a sky box cannot receive the 29500 symbol rate on manual adding of channels

sky allways have to be first at everything its like a game with sky how will you watch the 3d with out the 3d tv never mind i guess it makes umm look good get yer plastic glasses out and give it ago lol

When I edit the transponder scan settings I get BER value of 65520

Any idea whats causing it to error?

Looking at the clips shown on Sky Sports yesterday it seemed like customers had been watching the footy on around 50" Flat Screen (assuming 3D Ready) TV's.

Personally I'm not too sure on how effective this would be.

On another hand I have bought some tickets to watch the Rugby in 3D at a local Cinema for Saturday afternoon and I have been advised that some Cinema Chains are going to get the Worldcup in 3D shown on the big screen too. Now that in my opinion would be truly amazing specially if they are anything as good as the AVATAR 3D Movie and all the other recent 3D stuff seen at the Cinema!!
