tm 600 as server with white card

Can anyone tell me if I use a tm600 as a server with the new sly uk card, what cams do i need and also does the card receive updates, perhaps this has been covered already but i cant find using search button..

newcs 1.66 or 1.67 (to read the card) and cccam, card cant take updates and for that reason you need to disable them in newcs.xml or face overheating the card ie melting it..

thanks SI does that mean then that the card has to be inserted back into the original digi box from time to time to receive the updates, orelse the card goes to sleep?

Well the card needs to update,
right now you need to block update in dreambox/tm/itgate

so needs popped in its own box every 3-4 weeks to ensure it gets its entitlements updated.
if you dont block the EMM's from newcs then you *may* start messing card

ive blocked updates 'just in case' but have had a white card running in a TM500 since the day newcs1.65 was released, about 3 months, maybe more, and its only been back into a sly box once, and is working fine

@digi,p,, only say 3-4 weeks to be sure,, you want to keep updating the entitlements,, check your entitlements in the newcs web interface,

right now i have entitlements to 21/10/09 so you can see when you would have to get it back in box for

i would do it mabie the day before that just to make sure, and leave it in for more than half hour!,, best idea to leave overnight while you sleep and pop back in TM in morning,, you should then get another while out that update,, but they probably got everyone around that date the now,,, but glad you can see the dates anyhow
hehe think that means your card been in your box 6 days longer than mine?

Grrr pain in the behind this, safer just keeping it in the Sky box
