Pissed around on and off for over three weeks

trying to set this motorized dish up
As I am not the type to give in easily have now been successful

The only reason I am putting this on the forum is it might save a newbie like my self committing suicide

I have been in the building trade all my life so erecting a vertical pole and dish to me
Would not have been much of a problem, after hitting thor 94% with pictures on the TV go to 5E nothing!!!!! it wouldn’t pick up any sats

Well the upshot of the hole thing is the motor was out ????
I happened to put a spirit level on the bracket that attaches to the pole and it was nearly half a bubble on the level out couldn’t believe my eyes!!!!!! Un-bolted it slid a plastic packer up it tightened it up level !!!!!! hit every satellite.

Is that just a bit of tough shit on my behalf or has anyone else came across this ?? I mean attaching a brand new sat motor to a vertical pole you would think it would be level so if anyone is having the same trouble as me check the motor for level

also i must mention overtightening one side more than the other can cause this

what size dish you using m8 ?

I have only got 74 % signal at best, might be time to have a mess with it to try an improve it.

also dont forget you can fine tune the dish via the reciever by driving west or east a little once you have told the motor to look for a sattelite.

Remember to fine tune it you will have to use diseqc1.2 as usals cannot be fine tuned as it is done mathematically..
First send your receiver to the sat with usals then change to diseqc and move it around a lil bit then save...
