I am using Tversity to stream to my PS3, it will stream nearly everything not tried mk3 files yet though

mairy what os you using tversity on mate? I tried it on an xp system and couldn't get the console to detect it. I mean vista is fine, just right click a folfer and tick the share button and it works.

Just download media player 11 for xp and configure sharing in the options and the Ps3 will pick it up no problems i have been using it for ages like this and it perfect for playing all my divx and music files.

When you mean you cant add to library what do you mean?

You dont know how to add a share in the TVersity program?

Tversity is the best media server for PS3 you can get all the info here http://tversity.com/home.

Bear in mind that the PS3 can only play certain file types and not all divx and xvid variants can be played. If you want to stream via the Tversity media server mkv files you have to convert them to a standard which the PS3 recognises. mkv2vob is a good application for conversion and doesnt encode but just muxes the video and audio in the container file so that it can be used by the PS3. When converting the HD source you dont lose any quality what so ever I have happily been using TVersity for a very long time now and Im quite happy with the way it works. TVersity will also work on any version of windoze so you dont need to worry media centre or anything like that. Hope that helps

:THANKS: guys found this an interesting post going to give this ago myself and cheers prag for the links and info....
