bricked dbox? how do i flasth via null modem cable only?

my brother in law has bricked his dbox, it won`t boot. how can i flash by null modem cable only?

any help please.

search the forum for IFA or even google it's pee easy i prefer to do it that way then the other way, Make sure your firewall is not running as it somtimes conflists with IFA

Download IFA
Install it
Connect Null Cable to PC and box
Startup IFA select image and settings for null cable
Click next then click Ok
Power up the dbox
Give it about 5 - 10 mins to flash and your done.

Go to the stickies and read the tutorials on IFA all your answers are in there

a network adaptor is the where the cable attachesin to your laptop or PC,

so if you have attached the cable to your laptop/pc IFA wants to know the name of your adaptor, from the drop down list select your adaptor and that should be OK

however if you have not installed drivers for your adptor it wont show in IFA

Mate just some quick advice, dont be offended by any messages saying please search or look around. Its just these same queries are posted a million times.

You would get a lot more help, if you searched around and tried a few things and if you had a problem then ask as at least then it showed you had tried. Before simply posting a help thread.

You'll find most of the answers are on here via previous posts and tuts on the downloads. If you exhaust all your options feel free to come back and ask as these guys will then sort any problems for you.
