Find yourself IFA image flashing assistant.
connect network cable and null modem cable. follow instruction in IFA.
if still not working, insure you are using the correct image for your box, for example sagem or nokia 1x or 2x.

hope this helps.

This works with crossover cable only but better with null modem cable connected too.

IFA version 2.2

Turn off windows firewall
Disable wireless network connection

Rename image file mtd3.img and store it in C:\

set Local Area Connection network IP to 192.168.0.201
( IFA automatically sets dbox IP to 192.168.0.202 )
configure Local Area Connection link speed / duplex mode to 10Mbps / half duplex

open IFA
select image for flashing ( mtd3.img from C:\ )
select network device ( there should only be one available )
switch dbox on
press start
a dialogue box pops up
switch dbox off
click ok
switch box on
flashing should begin
progress is indicated on LCD ( IFA image on TV screen )
Fertig and smiley faces on LCD means success
disconnect network
off then on at the mains

mate you beat me to it, was just about to say hope pt-1 isnt free today and looking through the threads as this one would have got a classic reply.

mate just go to ebay or somewhere similar and type in crossover cable and it'll bring it up, also have a check of the posts as there a ton of questions similar to yours and trust me you dont want a response from the top dogs here as their bark is worse than their bite.

Try a little bit of searching, some of the ideas already given and then post if you have any probs.

well im new to this flashing thing but i just need some guidance in terms of connecting the dbox to the computer. plz

already stated previously...u NEED crossover cable not ethernet cable to use IFA..
I believe u can use null modem cable only but it takes aaggeeesss , and i would not try it that way,

come to think of it, wouldnt an xbox 360 cable work, as I think that would be a crossover cable or maybe i'm just wrong??
