For anyone searching those strings, years later, this is the Uboot serial console output from booting the VMDG490 with a 3.3v uart connected to the Intel Puma SOC.
There are pictures of the connection here. Extracting Firmware from the Virgin Super Hub 2ac - MDSec
Unfortunately, unlike the earlier vmdg485, it wasn't practical to escape into uboot - a shame since these units are still available second hand
