xbox 360 Flashing Help Please

Im trying to flash a 360 samsung drive for the first time, Im quite confident from reading the tuts that I can do it. I connect the sata cable to the drive and the Drive is detected at bios level but not in the list when I try to flash the drive from a USB memory stick using Iprep. Any ides ???

what sata chipset do you have, it needs to be a VIA VT6421A.

Get down textbook 2008 in the stickes this will tell you evrything you need to know and how to flash with iprep with usb
you are not trying to see the drive in windows, you will be flashing it in dos

Its a silicon chipset, and yes I am trying to do it thru dos. Does this mean I neede a sata PCI card with a via chipset ??

Silicon chipset is no good m8 and yes you need a VIA VT 6421A PCI sata card

i also bought mine from shinyhardware.

oh and by the way there are two internal sata connectors on the board, but you want the one at the very back of the card (shortest side).

Not sure about problems, it'll never work using iprep as iprep custem edits mtkflash for the internal port only.

your drive arrived this morning, looks like it got a bit scraped in post (see pic attached)

also, the drive does not eject, cos i checked to see if there was a disc in before i attempted to flash.

do you have the original key/bin from when you tried to read it?

Do it the bad flash method aswell works everytime for me. The standard method is a right royal pain in the arse on some pc's.
