Coronavirus pointless payments

Think what's important is people on furlough or other Grant's be prepared to still pay out this is crucial to a surviving business economy. I am still on full pay probably a bit more tbh . I don't mind taking the hit on my holiday home site fees knowing that the collapse of the holiday park would be a disaster financially to me. I also know that I'm only spending circa 60% of what I was. I'm sure a lot are in the same situation. We are all in the same shit here.

on furlough @ minute 80% of not a lot is shit lol still paying all i have but if lasts months will be in bother

Still having to work but i did the maths at 80% and no fuel costs to work combine that with freezing my car insurance, Yes you can do that and sorn it as its garaged.

Other worked related items sandwiches, coffees etc all add up. Gym membership frozen, no meals out no beer sessions after football etc etc i would be £150 a month better off under furlough and lock down . Im around £260 a month better off under lock down still working full pay.

Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

One of the UK's biggest motor insurance companies, Admiral, is giving a £25 refund to customers as cars and vans sit idle in the coronavirus pandemic.

The payment will be paid automatically to anyone with a car or van insurance policy with Admiral on 20 April
Insurer to give £25 refunds as cars sit idle

They're also paying all their staff full wages, and not making any of them come in. They've call centres in Swansea/Cardiff, and is one of the largest employers in Swansea since NTL/Virgin Media shut shop.

I've not had an email off them yet with regards to the £25 refunds, so i'll keep an eye out for them.

I've paid out for my mine and my sons season ticket to the football for next season!! We aint even finished this season yet.
Had a call off United. They are waiting to see what happens but, in the likely event we can't attend the remaining matches they are knocking it off next years.

My daughter has the same problem she has to pay her child minder for the place not the child care. Its not just in this situation CV19 either if the child minder can not have the children through illness, holidays she still has to pay the full amount. Even on public holidays such as bank holidays xmas etc she obviously has no need to take them to child care but still has to pay in full.

This particular child minder aint that reliable either taking time off when she likes causing turmoil for working parents but she still gets her money. 8 Children in her care at £225 a child and she can abuse it like that. Its wrong. This child minders husband was in hospital for 5 weeks during that time no child care was provided but my daughter still had to pay over a grand to keep the place.

A fairer system would be if the child minder can not take the children through her doing no payment should be made if it the parents that dont take the children the still have to pay. This way the child minder carnt take the piss.

On the flip side my missus is a childminder and has lost all income - Depends on the contract you sign - also if said childminder has 8 kids at any one time she would be breaking ofsted requirements.

Also... Decent childminders don't take the piss

ye try anything the bit we are worried about is what/who u tried
