Manchester United thread

True fans support their team trough the good and bad times, problem is alot of the younger UTD fans no nothing other than success and have been spoilt rotten for the last twenty years,so the first bad year you lot have had for ages and fans are loosing interest already, you may have a couple of barron years ahead and that is were we will see the true UTD fans stick by their team .

There are quite a few of us on here who know the bad times including being in the old Second Division, and are sounding off because we have seen how it sets in.
Many if not most expected a dip and would probably accept being in the league position we are in if they could see spirit and determination about the team, but everyone and everything looks flat and without feeling there is no hope.
A team could have the best players in the world but if they are not up for it then they are not going to achieve anything and that is what appears to be the case with many of the players at the moment, Moyes does not appear have the enthusiasm for a fight and if he hasn't got it then he will never install that feeling in the players, I'm afraid he is looking out of his depth.

Supporting the team is exactly why fans get on a mangers back, nobody want's Moyes to succeed more than United fans but rather than looking like settling in he's getting progressively worse. We actually had a good performance against Palace last weekend and we set out in a formation that offers a little more attacking options than the predicable stale 4-4-2 we've been served up (even under Ferguson) I actually thought maybe Moyes has realized it's not going to work. Tuesday's debacle makes way for the suspicion that he was actually resting Young and Valencia last weekend for the CL tie :Mad2:
I could take a barren spell if it looked like the manager had an idea but it seems more and more likely that at Everton he really had found his level.

Why post this shite really.
Wether it's a utd player or a scouser or whatever why bother to play to the crap that these idiots peddle?

Because it is a subject that will make national news and because if it is him or whoever else it may be, they will be the first Premiership and International player to publicly announce they are gay.
And in my opinion it will be a brave move; because although I am sure that there are others, to be the first to do so will bring pressures and no doubt some rather dubious terrace chants. I just hope whoever it is, they are strong enough to cope.

Sun deny rumours that gay footballer is set to come out.
The denial comes after a ‘Freelance sports journalist and champagne enthusiast’ by name of Jimmy claimed the first openly gay Premier League football will come out in an exclusive in The Sun on Sunday.

Jimmy claimed the player in question featured for England on Wednesday.

Despite British weekend tabloid the Sun on Sunday denying rumours that they planned to run a story revealing a current England international as gay at the weekend, left-backs Ashley Cole and Luke Shaw have risen to the bait, taking to Twitter to distance themselves from the feverish speculation.

Cole claimed he is “strictly chicks only”, while Shaw simply wrote: “It's not me”.

Rumours began circulating on social media last night that the paper were set to reveal a member of Roy Hodgson's current squad as homosexual, making them the first openly gay England international. The Sun, however, has also now stated that the story was a “ completely unfounded rumour”.

This did not stop the defenders, who both featured for England in the 1-0 friendly victory over, quickly making a point to deny it was them. In a tweet that has since been deleted, the Southampton full-back Shaw, who made his international debut in the match, wrote: “It''s not me, chill out guys!”

Cole then followed him today with this response, before the Sun finally stated that the story was never true in the first place.

must be one of the worst ManU performance

totally outplayed from start to finish

1 shot on target all game ?

managers take the hit but those players did nothing for there manager

let him down badly

can spout tactics

but end of day 11 numpties do little

Doesn't look like they want to play for him anymore m8 tbh

I still cannot believe he is this bad a manager though

I agree with that Moyes can't take all the blame. Poor performance yet again.. Players have to take the blame for not turning up.. what's van persie on 250k a week ? Rooney apparently 300k a week ? Shameful performances.

Neither did i until today's game when it took him 76mins to make a change and then he brought on cleverly(why) with the team 2-0 down,as soon as Liverpool scored their second he should have made a double sub.

Let's play without a center half for 15 minutes in the meanwhile conceding a goal and then bringing on Ferdinand.
Not the best option but Jesus 15 minutes I screamed to bring a defender in.
Clueless, sloth like management, it's almost like the thick ****ers doing it on purpose.

Man u need to keep moyes he's a footballing genius........
