Dreambox fix

Same boat as Karym6, doing something wrong.

I have applied the image Smirnoff uploaded to a Dreambox 500c
Ftp in to it and deleted nagrarom10.bin and nagrarom11.bin from 'var/keys'
Transferred the patched nagrarom7.bin to var/keys

Opened camd_cfg
How do I edit AU = 1

# AU
# 00 is ignored (Default)
# 01 enable AU
# 02 AU Auto
#A: { 01 }

hi mate u should be able to edit it with notepad but i dont think u need to change the 1, i have just uploaded the fix into my box and ma auto update is set to enable

hi mate open the config file using notepad and then when u get to this

# AU
# 00 is ignored (default)
# 01 enable AU
# 02 AU Auto
A: { 02 }

just delete the the number u have in the brackets and place in 02 like shown, then save this and ftp it back into the box from where u got it from, then do the fix shown, also what cam are u running

Hi ive uploaded the image but get no signals, also i think i need to rescan all channels, but only problem is i can find the scan option in setup any idea to where it is.

No real point in putting someone else's image on you only have a 1 in 5 chance of it working, fae easier to DL DCC and learn to FTP the files, honestly it takes seconds

I be very honest and say i used to know or should i say i do know how to ftp but i only know using wiggys ftp tool and ive done everything right and still cant get my box to talk with p.c.

p. ip 192.168.1.2
sub. 255.255.255.0

dreambox ip: 192.169.1.3 done everything but no luck thats why i was asking for an working image .

Unless that is a typo your first error is the the PC and Box are not in the same IP range, its only the last set on digits that should be different

Hi im just following a tut and going over and over and cant just get the box to talk with p.c when you have done this over as many times i have you become very stressed, yes could be maybe something really silly but right now, i dont have the thinking head right now, if anyone could be kind to pm me a working dw 2.1 image with the fix it would be most greatful, if not then its ok i guess i just keep going till i pass out lol.

Seriously check your ip addresses pc and DM should be XXX.XXX.XXX.YYY where x is identical on PC and DM and y is different

Hi jon on p.c ive made it 192.168.1.6
dreambox. 192.168.1.7
ftp wiggys tool is 192.168.1.7
and on ftp. i have host. 192.168.1.7
user: root
password: dreambox

what is the dcc which one do i get when i google it i got so many dcc is it a ftp software
