Tried it there, put my services and bouqeuts into var/tuxbox/config and cables into share/tuxbox deleted scan config. Got no joy scanning, gone back to my backup blade trinity again. will try it again when i have more time. Trying to find some channels missing from my services at the moment.
 
superb mate, will update tomorrow dont want to tempt fate and knacker my box before the big fight :)
 
This feedback is for v1.30.

I've been using The Don v3 & found it the best image for my box but i thought i'd give this one a go.

My box usually freezes 2 or 3 times a night the worst channel being Sky Sports 1 & 99 times out of a 100 will be frozen when turned on after being on standby over night.

I put this image on yesterday & it went all day without 1 single freeze, usually get a freeze out of ITV 4 but watched the Chelsea game last night & it was perfect. Left the box on standby as we usually do overnight had a look when i got up & the picture wasn't frozen :).

Not yet had chance to try it watching Sky Sports 1 yet but will post again when i have.

The freezing aside, there's also loads of new options that wern't there in The Don, but not had chance to mess with them all yet.

So far this seems to be one of the best images i've used & would reccomend it to anyone who has a problematic box where picture freezing is an issue.

Edit: It's now been running two days solid without any freezing at all on any of the channels, had it on Sky Sports 1 for 5 hours yesterday without one single freeze, i'm impressed, best image i've ever used.

absolutly brilliant image but ive just noticed something very minor im in the north east but when the local news is on the epg says it is the midlands and east midlands like i said very minor just curious why it would say this
 
It's because jack-shite happened in the North East today, so you're being diverted to the big news stories elsewhere. Joke...

There's dozens of regional BBC and ITV channels, m8- replace the wrong one you have, with the correct one via Bouquet Editor. Fine tuning and all that, LOL! Cheers- AL

it was actually on the right channel i was watching north east news

Thats what i am getting here still running orginal version on a nokia not had one glitch on it
cant believe it myself seem to have hit the sweet spot with this gettting only the same feedback from m8s in my area running it, a couple with dodgy Sagems that have been real bad freezers.

first off thanx to jaffa for sending me the image when i couldnt download it.
ive been using blade trinity for a while but i was getting some churping now & then. so far with this image ive had no trouble.
so many thanx for this image as well as other images & keep up the great work your doing

This is an issue. I had a few "broken" boxes where I am certain people were messing with settings when pissed, or something. This image allows you to make these invisible or pin coded so people cannot mess with them. I expect this is why commerical subbed boxes/images are so crap, to stop callouts when johnny comes home pissed and trys to get free porn and screws the box.

Another great feature, carried on from the later blades is that the key binding setup allows the coloured buttons to be reasigned. So my red goes straight to the main event guide/overview. green is teletext, yellow is current channel guide and blue is timer events. Stops having to do the old 2 press to get menus.

Has anybody else found features that may not be obvious like this?

I had it on my sagem 2x all last night, this still blacked out on the final blade (dublin ntl). It blacked out for about half a second once, but that was soon after menu/settings changes which often triggers a flicker. It was on for several hours wihtout a flicker so is looking good. I will put it on a mates 1x today.

Also I set my area to dublin and tried a scan just to test it. worked perfectly first time. I was surprised at this, and how fast it was. What is going on in the background with this? NTL changed some frequencies recently, if they did again would this somehow detect it? It found all the transponders immediately, as though the cables file only had the 13 it needed. I used UK scanning. It also got the correct frequencies. e.g. 3395 rather than just going with 339 which some scans might do.

I also have a dreambox now and the only small detail I like on its neutrino image is that when I press for info, i.e. the programs EPG that it comes up in a large font or small font depending on what it was last viewed at. i.e. on all dbox images I have to press the button once to bring it up, and once again enlarge the text. While on dreambox you press once. Dunno if this can be easily changed, not a big deal but nice.

Noticed just one small thing that doesn't seem to work as it should.

Because i have kids i lock the porn channels with a pin, which i have done, when i flick to the channel it asks for the pin but what's on the channel still shows without having entered the pin.

I might be missing something here but i can't see where as i've tried everything & nothing seems to sort it.

Its something to do with gbox mostly on sagems m8 use evocamd or mgcamd that works fine with pincode.

Ok i will try that, everythings been working like a dream other than this, i'll try evocamd or mgcamd & hopefully the box will run as smoothly as it has been with gbox if not i'll switch back & do without the pin option as i'd rather have a stable box.

Set to evo for a couple of m8s with young kids and they havent had a problem with stability so far hope its the same for you.
