No, seriously it is.
Last night my kitchen sink fell out of its little hole... Cant have made a loud noise other wise I would have been woken. Either way, all the pipes are knackered underneath and needs a plumber to come out and fix them.
To me, it looks like some sort of white tape has been wrapped around to seal the connections, a bit like the stuff you get with a new shower head but more hardcore.
The sink itself looks like it has been glued into place, the work top is stone (soapstone I think) and has the sink itself glued into place underneath.
I have called my landlord to get it seen to, but he is away for the weekend. Because all the pipes underneath are shagged, I cant use my dishwasher either. So no cleaning the dishes for me...
So, does anyone know about this sort of thing here? Its a bit out of my league to be honest. I have figured out I could probably glue the sink back into place, but the previous glue is still under the worktop. Does anyone know how I could glue it back? Also, any ideas on attaching a bracket underneath to retain the sink and give it a bit of a hand staying up?
If anyone has any tips on the pipes underneath, would be good to hear from you too - would like to get it sorted myself so the landlord doesnt get upset.
I attached some images of it here.
Cheers
