I've tried to set up the box yesterday (came with OpenATV), didn't get any channels for some reason, changed Net Id, etc. This was with the VM feed.

Someone suggested a Factory reset and since then the box doesn't start anymore. I get the background image, can FTP the box, it quickly goes up to 99 then starts again.

What do I do now? Reflash it, or is there some other option?

And if I reflash it, what version should I use, 4.2 or 5.0, which is more stable?

p.s. Have later figured out we were using tuner A as it was the only one where the coax will get in, didn't know I will need a connector :)). But the box was broken by then.

Needs to be reflash there are some OpenATv H1 backup in the download section.

I can see only see ITV and the EPG is working on some channels. That means I get signal as for the other channels it's the line that's not working or configured properly, right?

when boxes are reflashed you have to setup your cline with cccam cfg/or nline with mgcamd.and newcamd.list again make sure details are correct and correct cams chosen.

I've ended up using CCCam 2.3.0 with a CCCam.cfg file and it works.

Have previously tried using the existing Mgcamd (1.39 r2 or something like that) with a newcamd.list file (CWS = .. format) and it didn't work.

I was and still am a bit confused as in what goes into that mg_cfg file?!

I would love to be able to use the N line in Mgcamd rather than CCCam, do I definitely use the newcamd.list or what?

2 files sent to usr/keys.
mg.cfg which is how box is suppose to run=like instructions.
newcamd.list which is the server info you add and store for box to work.

so only in var/keys it shows as usr/key you add those 2 files
mg.cfg
newcamd.list.

any time you reflash box make sure you remove the files like cccam.cfg or newcamd list and mg.cfg to pc/laptop first then when box is flashed DONT USE SETTINGS RESTORE and always start from scratch.ftp files back to correct folders.

Box now up and runnong thanks to Digi247 uploading backup and to Ferret for your input, there is a question though, When I switch off It wont start up until I remove the USB which is in the rear usb port for epg purpose?

It may not be mounted correctly causing a conflict check the mount point under blue button.

Hi thanks for quick response I think Ive done it in mount view it shows usb red circle white cross in, then media Dir:/exports/, then ip, then box with a red cross in next to NFS is this correct? if not can you give me instructions on how to correct this Thanks in advance.

I reckon you need to try formatting USB on PC this will make sure no files remaining to conflict at startup then place in back of box (when off) switch box on and follow Menu via Storage Devices to Initialise / Format Usb to ext4 then Mount manager to create mount and then restart box to confirm.

Not really used OpenATV but should be similar to others.

mate try this.

1. Set up usb via remote > menu > information > setup > epg > settings > on the top page you will see EPG Location > press the right arrow key until you get /media/usb > press green button to save settings.

2. Make sure enable VM epg (4th from bottom) is set to "yes". You change the settings by using the right or left arrow key

I had a similar issue to the OP with Open ATV EPG, I never actually got it sorted, I swapped to Openvix instead and had no issues. But I didnt have the info in this thread at the time so am gonna try it again as I like to know Image is offically supported :)
Still Learning my way with the Zgemma but is comforting to know im not the only one having these issues.

Thanks for all info in this thread :)
