Sky Sports Keeps Freezing!

Hi there i recently got a DVB otherwise a Dreambox so im new to all this. All the channels are fine except Sky Sports 1 to 3. It keeps freezing does anyone know what i can do fix this. Any help would be appreciated. Especially before the Premiership Season starts ! Also do you get Sky Box office when pay-per-view events are on?

your problem with sky sports is more often then not down to a weak signal
check all connections and splitters
as to ppv yes when an event is broadcast you will have it

yeah i was advised of that by my friend and have reconnected the splitters but still no joy. still keeps freezing after 5, 10 or 20 minitues. Very irratating as its the one channels i watch the most! any other suggestions?

Do you have the phono outputs of the dreambox connected to a hifi or or other source. I had a problem in the past with signal issues and discovered it was when the phono out puts were connected to an external source.

We've been having the odd freezing issue lately on our boxes. (DBox and 500c) Happens on any channel now and again. Not sure why it's just started, because they've never done it before, but it's been happening a few times now over the last couple of weeks.

Tried different Cams, but doesn't make any difference. It's no biggy, because if it doesn't come back after a few seconds, a channel change sorts it, but it's odd that it's just started happening after all these years?

Most stability issues are caused by signal issues. Signal strength for a certain area can change from time to time, and boosting - the most commonly suggested fix - is often the wrong remedy, when the problem is caused by a signal that's too strong. If that's the case, attenuation is the way to go.

You'll want to check signal readings from unstable channels and compare them against working channels. If the signal is lower, chances are boosting is the way to go, it it's higher, attenuation should help.

We have been experiencing exactly the same thing with our Dreambox receiver since over 18 months now. It is mostly Sky Sports 2, or whichever one is showing live cricket. It freezes like every 20 seconds. The signals are full, the connection too is fine because every other channel, including all other Sky Sports channel which is not broadcasting live cricket, works perfectly normal.....

I am completely dumbfounded on this one. Any ideas, suggestions and help in general is most welcome.

Haha! Well, I was just randomly Googling about this problem and found only one result that was addressing the exact issue that we are having.

The problem is that we have about 25 versions of Sky Sports 2, but sadly when it has its day, it has its day... It gets so frustrating because we are yet to understand where the problem lies.
