Based on the little information that's available about this jailbreak, it appears that the IRIS development team, a recently announced and unheard of JB Dev Team, has released a proof of concept video showing an iPhone 4S running an untethered jailbreak.
It's been confirmed this will be a jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iTouch 4G, iTouch 3G and iPad 1G (both models.) However, an i4S and iPad 2G jailbreak are unsure, since the latter two devices use Apple's new A5 hardware as opposed to the former devices.
The head dev says a release is imminent for this Thursday, December 8th. However, bear in mind that we've heard NOTHING from these people before and that I don't encourage nor slander this jailbreak until there's concrete evidence and beta proof that this works.
The developer hopes to release the finalized jailbreak before Christmas, making it a welcome and early present for many eager jailbreakers in the iCommunity.
