Dont right click on filezilla,
using filezilla navigate to your file in the right hand pane of filezilla,
then right click on the file you want to edit and choose view/edit and it should open up and allow you to change your info.

Ok then you probably need to go into filezilla settings and choose a default editor to use, then it should work,

alternatively just drag and drop the file from the right pane (box) to the left pane (pc) and then open it on the pc,
change what you need and then drag from the left pane to the right,if asked to overwrite click allow/yes.

is there any advantage over using filezilla instead of dcc or is it just personal preferance?? regards mdt

Tbh m8 I couldn't tell you as I don't use dcc at all,
I use ftp for a lot of other things and as such I prefer a dedicated ftp client so have become accustomed to using Filezilla :)

EDIT:Just installed DCC for a quick look and at first glance it seems easier for people not aquainted with ftp programs,
once your box and pc info is filled in the ftp side is already connected and you can edit to your hearts content :)

For setup-issues, look in readme.txt!
If there are other troubles, try different forums or irc channels around )

The configfile are NOT case-sensitive, and shouldnt care about dos/unix cr/lf.

** This is the example file for Dreambox/TD etc. that use SCI interfaces.

i can not edit anything in the window
any ideas as to where i am going wrong
thanks to everyone who has made a input.

It looks to me like the default editor is set as your internet browser,
so either change the default editor or download the file to your PC and edit it there :)

You could also try DCC as I had a quick look yesterday and it seems quite good ;)

thanks mate,it was using internet browser so i changed it and now i can edit my boxkey through filezilla.
having a poke around at the different files but not sure which one i would add
a cline or nline, but they are easily done in miniweb
what are the main differences between filezilla and miniweb because everything i have done so far i could do on the mini web

Glad to help m8,
clines and nlines usually go in CCcam.cfg if using CCcam,
not sure about the other cams/emus,

as for the difference I dont know as I never use miniweb,
I always used ftp so thats just what I got used to,
but one major downfall with miniweb is having to restart the box to access it.

also an n line you can put in newcamnd list in the keys folder just replace the n with cws and use mgcamnd to view
this method is supposed to better and if you are using newcs and mgcamnd to read your white card you do not have to change your cam to view your line .

had a look at this mate and atm can not work it out,
not sure which folder i need to be in?
if you can give a little more detail it would help me a great deal.

Not really well up on mgcamd and newcs but I think newcamd.list should be in the var/keys folder m8,have a look in there :)

spot on wiz
go into var then keys then newcamnd.list and put the line in there remember to loose the n and put cws in front
same as if you used the newcamnd server bit on the spiderbox you can put the details in this folder by creating a cws line instead of an nline

i am using mini web atm to input details in the stb,i am a bit puzzled as i have been following digidudes ccam server tutorial and it says that the mini web address should be the same as my stb ip but it is not,i have a static ip of xxx but my mini web ip is just xx it all seems to work, could the software have been updated since the tutorial was written?

ok chaps my q's are getting complex lol
i have set up my tm500 as a server and have a spiderbox as client
i forwarded the port req from router to tm500 to work as server
also the spiderbox to work as server
the problem is i can put a nline in tm500 and it works as it should
when i use the tm500 as server
in the spiderbox network menu it tells me it is connected and 0 cards
i have two different ports forwarded one for each stb
i am going through a dyndns account
i have had it working perfectly before any ideas please chaps because i have been trying to get them working together for hours.
also i know about home network but want to get it setup as working as external slave.
thanks.
the tm500 is reading the card as it should so the problem not there.

i am having problems assigning i.p. to my tm500
i have asigned ip address as ex 182.167.1.99 on tm500 and that shows up in my router setting as the above address as static
also in router setting in the dhcp settings there is also the mac address of tm500 with address 182.167.1.66 i presume that is my ip for mini web
should my tm500 ip be the same as the mini web ip?
thanks.

Cant help with miniweb m8 but as regards tm500 ip,
I tick DHCP in the box's LAN settings and then when the router assigns it an ip I leave DHCP ticked but assign the ip as a static one in the router settings :)

it looks to me as though the tm500 is not sharing the card because when i alter any of the cline in the spiderbox it disconnects and when i put the correct line in and reboot it connects,i have ccam2104 + newcs1.67 installed and been used.
although i know i can share through my lan i want to be able connect through dyndns just in case i decide to share, any ideas would be welcome.
thanks for reading.

thank the lord,i have figured it out
when i was following didgidudes tut on cccam server i put

SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12341
F: Id password 000
F: user1 pass1 000

and it should have put in as

SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12341
F: Id password000
F: user1 pass1000

simple now but hard to find when not knowing what the problem is.
factory reset tm/spider and the bloody router
thanks to halfman halflager and wiz569 for your input
