Trying to update dash for Kinect(Jtag)

Did you catch what the rrod secondary error was . (maybe 0022~ldv's)? If you get rrod again post ur secondary error code m8.

I'm getting 'looking for usb interface device, could not continue' crap again.Really, really doing my head in now

Thats normally to do with the soldering Oily , just double check over the solder points.

have you installed the nand x drivers? in control panel under devices is there a yellow exclamation mark next to it? it's over to you pro's I'm not A 100% as you know with this like....so I'll take a step back, let the pro's do it....! good luck oily man

It could well be that Dibbers

Its showing in device manager, solder points are all good as before as i havent touched anything on that side of things.I might take it to the guy who I bought it off and use his NAND x.

are you connecting power to the machine but leaving it switched off....(so the nand and the board gets power)

As Dibbers says you need the power plugged into the console but not powered on and the AV lead plugged in (i think)lol

I'll try it with the av cable once I can reclaim the pc!

Well just tried it with the av cable plugged in,still no joy

I'll take it to the guy I bought it off and see if his nand x works on it then I'll know if mine is faulty or not

There is no need for av cable.
If it says no flash device detected then it is communicating with the reader but not the flash chip. Soldering/wiring issue.
If it cannot find a usb device, then that is a reader issue, (not necessarily faulty hardware). The reader I have does not have signed drivers, so I must disable the signature verification at bootup otherwise it does not work.

@Oily, get your nandx updated while you are there.

any news Oily mate?

Nah,I'm still no closer to getting it to see my Nand X.So it'll be weekend before I can take it the guy I bought it off :(
Missing it already,I've got MotoGP 11 lined up and ready to roll too!

ah man, sorry. I feel partially responsible for not stating clear enough about not writing your nand with out checking and double checking and then checking again....and then checking...

Do you know if your nand-x is updated to the latest V3 code?

This could be handy if you have a multimeter about, had to do it me self,

I'd also suggest a top(pad)-bottom and bottom-pin (if using QSB) continuity test to 100% rule out issues with soldering or the QSBs

It's nobodies fault apart from my own Dibbers.I should of read up on it more.Any how we learn by our mistakes as they say.NAND x is updated to V3
I'll get it sorted, don't worry about that.I don't like being beaten by machinery!

have you tried a continuity test on the points, that's always a good one, bit fiddely like, but you can manage.....
