Wookie

If you install the skin on its own you have to customise it yourself and add all your own artwork the menus, submenus and the add-on shortcuts, I prefer not use the shortcuts just the sub-menus. I think it looks a lot cleaner without them. You can have 12 home menu item, 10 sub-menus and 7 shortcuts.

You can change to the hulk skin from the profiles if you prefer that one

without the need to customise it yourself, as you can for all other profiles

CCM is fairly out of date now - it was superceded by CCM for Helix, and that (at least unless Mudislander returns) by Xonfluence. Neither version of CCM is being updated. But they still work on isengard 15.2.

New Wookie Lite Now Available

"We are proud to give you the exclusive new build from Wookie, this build is perfect for Firesticks or any low memory box/pc."

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Is this the best around for firesticks? Ive got two that I need to install kodi on, one is for my parents, and I dont want to have to constantly update it for them.

Auto-update as mentioned in a later post seems like a really good solution.

opinions about the best is subjective mate, I think it is the best but I'm sure not everyone will agree

you will have to try it and see for yourself

I don't know about auto-update, you still have to physically click a few icons and spend 5 minutes waiting for the download to complete once a month or so because add-ons come and go

All the wizards I have tried you have to update them manually yourself. On the fire stick you need to keep the builds as small as you can they don't seem to handle large builds very well. A lot of the larger builds are full of unwanted addons and nearly 1 GB in size and that includes the full Wookie build. I personally don't use wizards myself but my favourite that I have installed on firesticks for friends is the paradox build formally known as the black box build about 300mb in size....
But I would just install few addons and I think Alimac and Manic will tell you the same thing. You only have to install the addons once then back-up the build using adb fire and then restore the build to the other firestick using adb fire simply. Here's some recommended addons.
Phoenix,UK Turks, NJM soccer, Zem tv, Money sports, Salts, Velocity, Specto.

There are a limited number of addons that deliver good sports, njm soccer/phoenix/zem/moneysports/robocop and a few others.
There are loads that do films, so many just not worth having all the addons.
I think a max of 15 addons for sport and films etc more than enough.
Nearly all addons update their selves.

The wookie lite is 222MB as you can see from the picture

I don't see any discrepancy in my statement mate when I downloaded the wookie lite

the picture said 138MB

when I checked after it downloaded and installed as you can see in the wookie properties it says 222MB

that size is still better than most wizards and within the capability of most systems to run comfortably

I would have thought that would include the fire stick too

Genesis fork Phoenix salts Zemtv NJM soccer Moneysports is all i have on my stick plus IPTV Stalker just as a last resort backup no other addon needed there are a few other decent ones though all angles covered

Just installed kodi on the Amazon Fire stick..Thought it would be better as eliminates the need for yet another box and leads etc..
Installed wookie..runs a bit slow and can be very temperamental but gives me the footie via njm and Turks...

This is just what I am after for my olds. Football mainly for 3pm kick offs, we've got everything else covered via other means.

Anyone used the pardox build?

Have you got the lite build or the full build. The lighter the build the better it will run. My daughter's firestick only has 4 movie addons installed and it runs perfectly. All you need is a mix of about 10 addons sport, movies and raw maintenance and your sorted.

Yes I have the new look build..
Will try the lite..

The last time I installed the full wookie build it was over 800mb in size and full of load of unneeded addons you will probably never use. Try the lite version you will notice the difference. Remember to install from a fresh install of kodi. Better still just install the addons you use. Your kodi will be a lot more responsive. Reason I know is I have tried it, as has Alimac and Manic. The three of us all can't be wrong....

If you use a firestick please chip in with some constructive advice. Telling us to install a wizard on a device you don't use and haven't tried does not give you an opinion on it.
