Hi all,

trying to to set up H1 for the Brotherin law for use with Cable.
it came with latest open atv image and I have installed mgcamd.

FTA all ok. Not so others. Think it may be config prob with mgcamd.
have downloaded all files that are already in user/keys. Will replacing them with what I downloaded then insert line sort. Or am I missing something here. Are there any other files that need edited?

Still no joy, tried different mg_cfg files and like I said replaced all files with ones downloaded off here.
line is okay tested that also.
Can I use CCcam on Cable or does it have to be mgcamd?

CCcam can run nlines but some server block CCcam.

Youll just have to try it and see but mgcamd is better for nlines as a norm.

flashed another image from here for the H1 set up for Sat/Cable. Mgcamd installed. All had to do was Chang net ID which I did and scanned found all channels.

mgcamd running and in user/keys are both CCcamd.list for C and newcamd.list for Ns.
put C in CCcamd and sat clears no prob but not cable.
cant get any to clear in newcamd.list using N. ( change N to CWS =)
Is there anything to put in front of line or after line or just my line.

Look at the mg_cfg there should be a G 33 setting if it is set to anything else change it to 33 and reboot.

ive got 2 lines in my box 1 for sat and 1 for cable
if your using a sat bouquet it will only work with sat nline
and same for cable

Just to get this right. Are you saying I have to get a Cable specific line. I thought a line would work for both.

i am setting this box up for a family member. He has cable not sly.
i set box up in house (I have sly) channels cleared okay.
back up to his house set net id, scanned and found all channels. FTA okay not others.
disabled sat tuner.
so I now have to buy another line that is for Cable only. Is this correct.?

IF your inlaw has a dish you can use sat tuner
cable seems to be better and you also get hd channels but no setanta
cable lines are also more expensive usually 50% more than sat
