iPhone worth updating?

i have got a iphone 3g which is currently on 3.1.2,which was JB using blackra1n. i was thinking is it worthwhile for me to update to 4.1? one reason i want to do it is becuase push notifications for 3rd party apps is not working for me, but on my apple iphone 4 with 4.1 it is working fine, another reason is battery life looks like it is getting worse every time, lastly i cant update apps they are only for like ios4 or iphone 4 only lol?

so what do u guys think worth it?

No, iOS4 is painfully slow on the 3g stick with your old fw

any ideas on how to fix the push notification? it dont work on 3rd party apps, works fine on message, miss call etc.

I hade the same problem on 4.1 push doctor worked for me can get from cydia

thanks alot mate, push finnaly works, i looked before on the internet tried push fix and i think some other related thing but no result, so i googled this push doctor and many said as a test get ipusher, so i got ipusher and tried it but it was not working, so i tried push doctor, and then did ipusher works, fine even tested 3rd party apps such as whatsapp, pingchat and seems to work perfect
