Won't boot with the fan removed [Dream Box 800 HD]

Chaps,

When i remove the fan wires from the internal fan then i see the initial boot screen and then that's it, she won't boot with out it.....any ideas on what i can do? or a work around for it.

I have a little net book cooler that sits quite on the top and is much better at keeping it cool, just i wanted to disable the internal fan.

Weird I completely removed a fan from an older dm800 non pro model , worked fine with no fan. Using net book cooler instead

yeah that's what i am wanting to do, I'll have another go tonight and then report back, maybe i jumped the gun and didn't give it enough time, maybe panicked in case I'd fried it....will have another go.

I also removed the internal fan from my DM800 and using a net-book cooler instead. Works fine!

same here, unpluged the internal fan & just have the 800HD sat on a usb netbook cooler..... keeps it nice nd cool nd works a treat....
