Hi M8's just wondering I am running a lap top and PC from my BT Voyager 2100 in my office at home upsatirs. Trouble is I have a PC in a study bedroom over the landing about 30ft away he gets a reading of around 2Mbs or less and one bar on graph. When I go downstairs into the lounge I have a connection but not very good - is there anyway I can step up the power to improve the signal throughout the house. The blurb says upto 50yds but I doubt it unless you haveclear line of sight.

You could boost the signal, there are products on the market that do that!

Forgive my Geordie thickness but could you possibly suggest what to look for Treb - but thanks for your help

.

A wireless access point placed strategicaly will give that little push.
My sons cost less than £50 from pcworld.
Took all of 2 minutes to setup.

Have Fun

Wireless boosting

Hi Thanks for help but it has moved a stage further I think I now lose the Internet connection at least once a day and have to switch the BT router off for about 15mins and re-set. Me thinks I need a new router and may as well go for a 108 to boost output.
