windows 7 taskbar issue

hi guys - all of a sudden, my windows 7 uktimate taskbar has somehow changed to the old school style, like its windows 98???...nothing is working, browser wont open, wifi not connected..tried a restore but i t wont let me..went into personalise and tried to change it back to aero but all the options in there are greyed out and wont allow me..any help please ta

just run system restore to a day you no it was working you won't lose anything

thanks mate..system restore didnt work from the laptop, but used windows 7 disk and gave me option to restore, did what you said and its back to normal...cheers.
