wide band freeview ariel question

Hi guys,
a neighbour has asked me to put him a new wideband ariel up on his chimney but he would like to run 2 boxes in different rooms off it will it be ok to run 2 cables from connector on ariel as i hope this way it will not reduce the signal strength rather than using a splitter/y piece?

think your method depends on how strong signal is in your area.

might be better to use 2 aerials or use a splitter ie metal one that cable uses will work a treat.......

what you need is something called a SAC. this is a small unit that fits close to the aerial and evenly splits the signal for the 2 locations. onlyto be used in strong signal areas though
