Why do I not get some Hotbird 8/9 channels on my satellite?

I am using a Ross Freeview box HDR8130USB which is set up on a sat dish pointint to 13'E
I have set the scan to Hotbird but I do not get all the available channels on these satellites.

I am informed that I should be able to get RTVi in the UK and some others.

I also see that I should be getting some channels from HB9 also, but they are not getting through.

There seems to be a limit on the digital box as to LNB high (13850)

I do not know how to find the information required to be able to add these channels to my box.

Do I need a better sat box or is it down to tha availability?

What size dish are you using? and where in the UK?

I am using a dish about 60CM I think. I am in Hull in the UK

Ah! I may have it.
Looking at the details in www.satbeams.com, I see that they are not FTA channels.
I need to be able to get by the encryption... Is there somewhere I can obtain the hardware and subscription for these channels in the UK?
Local to Hull / Beverley area.

yes, but we don't really talk about that openly on here. go to Google and type in dreambox and card sharing, it will be a start.
