I have just brought a TM800 second hand as a bedroom box after reading all these probs have I done the right thing or should I sell it on :grayno:

How much did you pay for it ? They seem to be 135 new on ebay.. Why anybosy would want to buy a "discontinued", "unsupported" bug-ridden box for that sort of money is questionable.

If you can get one 2nd hand for 70 quid or less, for a bedroom might be OK.

paid £50 for it and touch wood its been running fine...

For £50 you cant go wrong mate, if it's just 2nd stb.

i have one running in my daughters bedroom with epg, autobouquets, iplayer and itv player running on it with no problems

to only watch TV on, theyre ok
