5400 looks good but there's cheaper such as 3100 (£60 delivered)
Can all be patched and receive the same channels?

Why pay the extra money?

Motorised not required either.

they all have different features m8. like the 5400 has usb ports for easier flashing etc, the 5200 is only a FTA reciever etc

The 5400 also has a cam slot as well as a card reader.

Am i right in saying that if you buy a cam for the slot,it opens even more channels up?
Do you update the cam through the box or seperate programmer?

has there been any 'downtime'?

5400 looks like the current recommended model, still don't see what the extra £20 benefits though.
