Whats the best PC - PC software (free)

Does anyone know of a decent pc to pc (controll) software to control another computer on the network (local), used to use pc anywhere but I do not need anything to control other PC's across the internet just local ?

I used tightvnc, never found a delay. Anyway, TightVNC can be configured to work just like normal VNC I think.
