Yip thats right its an Astilbe it is a perenial plant that will die back over the next 4 to 6 weeks and look like it has died.
If you cut back all the dead growth down to ground level it will be back with a vengance come the spring.
To keep it healthy sprinkle a little general feriliser like growmore etc round it in the spring and it will flower all summer again.
Once it starts to get too big in a couple of years dig it up when it is dormant over the winter and get 2 garden forks and stab them in back to back and push the handles together this will rip it in half giving you two plants if it is really big do it again until you are left with bits about the size of your fist, replant these and enjoy.
ps this is the same with most perenial plants you will find in the garden
