If you don't mind recertified seems like a good deal. A friend of mine bought a couple of 1 tb a couple of years ago and they are still fine.

Seen this on HUKD email and couldn't resist a 2Tb for £32. I have seen brand new drives be DOA and also drives last just past their warranty and die so I have no prob with recerts.
The key is having at least a backup of your data. Anyone who has anything important stored just on the one drive needs to invest in an additional one for backup

fyi i have one of those and they have a proprietary interface so that means you cant take it out and stick it into a laptop or nas etc.
