watching a HD movie ( streaming)

i've put alice in wonderland (11GB .mkv file) on my PC and set it up to stream but after the the disney logo comes on the picture freezes and the sound carrys on.at this point i have to press 3 on the remote to skip forward then it works for all of 2-3 seconds and does the same.
i then copied the file to the HD on my vu+ duo and it did exactly the same , am i missing something ?.im using PLI img.

Have you tried playing the file on anything else? It could be that its borked?
or it could be its to high a bandwidth for the VU+

mkv files seem to be about the only ones that dont have a problem playing on the VU, have you tried the lates PLI update image? or why not try BH 1.3.3E
