I'm quite interested in services like Skype (mainy for free calls!) Does anybody know what's it like to use in practice and do you have any recommendations?

skype is reasonable, but its exacrly what you get for a free service, it's quite widely used now as well.

It'll never be as good the paid for services, but while it's not used by everybody, quality should be "reasonable".

I use skype all the time and its Ok, there are a few problems at the moment as we are using new beta version for skype in and voice mail, but it should be sorted again soon, we are the lab rats, outgoing calls to landlines are not expencive, and you can start with ten euro's, with skype in you can buy a phone number so that people can call from a landline to your computer if you are on line, also it has answer phone so people can leave you a message if you are not on line, to find out more why not go and have a look at the skype web site, all you need to know is there. regards, raptor214. : spook :
