Hi all

I have been searching for some software to preview voices on my pc rather than have to copy them to the tom tom but i have not been able to find anything do any of you guys know of any ?

i dont know about previewing the voices on your pc other than downloading microsofts pda sdk emulator and loading tomtom to its virtual sd card.

but information and programs to make your own voices can be found at

www.tomtom.graemelucas.co.uk

so you may be able to use one of his programs to play the tomtom voice files.
Hope This Is Of Some Help.

Little long winded but you need to split the files back to the original files

Download
OGG Codecs
http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/downloads.html#stable
Viftool
http://www.ghostwheel.de/viftool/viftool.new.zip

1, Install OGG Codecs then Extract Viftool.new.zip prefferably to the root of your drive e.g C:\viftool.new

2, Copy voice ( .vif + .chk) files you want to preview to this folder

3, Goto "Run" type CMD

4, At Command Prompt type:

"cd\" ENTER
"cd viftool.new\viftool" ENTER

You should be in the viftool directory, if you extracted to root

5, Type: "viftool split data00.vif" replace data00 with the name of your voice file

6, That should split the voice file back to its smaller single audio files

7, Play the audio files mainly "After.ogg" in Windows Media Player
