hi help needed i have just recieved this printer cable usb to parrallel printer IEEE 1284 from hong kong to connect my cannon bj200ex printer to my laptop
there were no instuctions but for windows xp except on the supplied disc it says the cable and printer should be recognised by the new hardware wizard this does not happen the usb port is fine because anything else i plug in is found and works.
I have run the trouble shooter to no avail i have tried to install a printer port manually but although it installs under device manager the port has a yellow triangle and it says port may not work and it doesn't can any one help i am thinking the cable must be faulty.
if so i will just give the seller a negative response as the main cost to me was post&packing of £3.80
