upgrading official 3.30 firmware to 'custom' fimrware??

My mate tells me he has the official 3.30 firmware, can this be modified so that he can have, for example, 3.40 OE 'a firmware??

Well ive got one of the 2 things required Bro-- My modded psp (with 3.40 oe a') installed on it. Is it an easy process to create a pandora battery?

when istalled run the pandora battery creator in the psp menu and create a pndora battery,then put your memory card in his psp then put in battery,,dont forget to back up eeprom
