Understanding the RH/XV system

using a PCI DVB-T card?

Can I use these PIN codes to find out the PIDs of the video and audio streams for Xtraview? There doesn't seem to be any way to use MHEG on a computer (I'm using MyTheatre with a TwinHan DVB-T card to watch tv on my computer), so there's no way for me to enter the PIN codes. But with Red Hot, i can enter the PIDs of the video and audio streams (7070 and 7071) into Mytheatre and watch it fine. Assuming Xtraview uses the same technique to hide its PIDs, is there any way to find them out from these PIN codes? do the PIDs change every day or what?
 
never mind, I found the PIDs on another site. They're 0x1765 for video and 0x1D88 for audio, and it seems they don't change every day like the PIN numbers.
 
Hello everone, why did you have to post, understanding the RH/xv system, I got so involved yeterday i burnt the sunday lunch and ruined a new saucepan.
 
A number of people have been saying they just can't get to grips with the codes when there is a 1 in ref23, so I'm going to have a go at explaining how I do it.

I'm going to use the 1st June's Codes just as nix9 did, but I'm only showing you the 1 method for ref24.

23 = 123
24 = 674508923
25 = 1243
26 = 1795

On 1st June ref24 was defined as

674508923

First work out what the missing number is and put it on the end (in this case it is a 1 as all of the other numbers from 0-9 are in the line)

so we now have

6745089231

Now write down this number with 0123456789 underneath it, so it now looks like this.

6745089231
0123456789

You now have 10 columns of 2 rows

6 7 4 5 0 8 9 2 3 1
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Now reorder the columns so that the top row now reads 0123456789

0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
4 9 7 8 2 3 0 1 5 6

The bottom row is the LUT.

Hi Everybody

Only just started looking at the xtraview channel on the freeview box and am a little confused.

I am looking into the keygen and manual process but I have no idea how to enter the codes into the box, there does not appear to be anywhere to enter them.

Can you help please.

Press the red button on the xtraview channel and there you will see the place for entering the pin number. They give you a number to quote when you ring them:its that number that the code is derived from.

I use the twinhan aswell and used the following for xtraview:

Sorry, Ive lost touch with the XV/RH revelations. I know a little of the basics from when I used another forum, but havent bothered with it since. So am I right in thinking that there is a keygen linked to a website with the codes updated daily?

i know i sound like a huge n00b, but you need a gold card for this to work? I have no idea.
 
No. READ THE FIRST POST.

Its an UNENCRYPTED channel. Any card in a slot including offical cards, gold cards, etc would be needed if you had to unencrypt the channel. You don't with these.
 
yea, i read it, i didn't know before as i was scanning and then saw all those numbers and thought f it. I have read it now.

LOL - yeh sorry about that - I'm very at home with numbers and easily launch into stuff without realising it might take others a while longer to digest :lol: . Thought I'd reply to the post incase others were in a similar situation.
 
I understand the calculations, and they look like fun (So Doku can take a jump! :))

But how do you get the vcg codes? I got a Thomson Freeview box.

I think I will have to brush up on my arithmetic to try and follow these calculations.

Think I will just stick to the keygen LOL

Umm..sorry for being super-thick here but where did 4978230156 come from, pls?
I have read thru posts but if its there then maybe It's just too complex for me.
