:toiletcla

don't think there is any hack for topuptv m8 not much on it worth the effort except setanta sports but maybe in time you never know : spook :

Nope, nothing for TUTV yet. The actual encryption has been cracked, just not with the encryption values TUTV use. If someone was to find these out, it would be possible.

There is a keygen in ExtraCP for TVX though...

from what iv read, i THINK u can clone the cards if 1 of ur mates subscribed 2 tutv, but dont just try it without reading about it urself.

As far as i know, there is a way to get round the topup tv, i did read a tutorial on how to do it some time back but the tutorial, if i can find the tutorial for you agen i will PM you. The tutorial will guide you thorugh how to crack the engryption or something like that, i duno if that is what you are looking for. Anyway i will PM you if i find it.

Tell us all please!
I am surprised at the lack of (absolutely none) clever peeps investigating this.
Ok, so its only Setanta...but surely saving everyone £10 a month is enough to get the 'smart ones' moving on this?
The demand for it in the 'old days' must be an indicator of the level of interest now that there are more games on there.
So come on all the brains...surely you can crack this one...afterall, if a simple piece of plastic can get me the games then intellectuals must be able to create software to rid me of that black screen..?

Think the lack of intrest mite have something to do with time over money!!! once things like this HAVE BEEN hacked it can all changed the next day. The smart money in my opinion would be to get your self a dream box or similair for round about a ton & start saving on all the channels.

What Setanta/games...saving everyone a tenner? how about all the channels + games + more?
The 'old days' have gone this is THE FURTURE !!!!

Oh how I would love to m8.
From what I have read though this option is only available to cable...is this correct?
Unfortunately I live in the sticks and so cable is not an option to me...I think the closest is 100 miles away, and I cant move sadly.
So all I have is my DVB-T card or satellite. I cant subscribe to Sky...costs are too great for my unemployed self, so I guess I am stuck with terrestrial highlights :(
I take your point about the hacking hassles onboard, tie91074, I never gave that a thought m8, so thanks for that.

hi m8, no you can use dreamboxes etc. with satallite. try searching for a 'dreambox 500s'.

Also do a search on the Technomates For satelite apparently there quite easy to patch also.

Sorry folks...I'm a complete newbie to this Dreambox stuff, and wouldnt know where to start.
I had a look in the sections but I think its presumed that we already have the box and have it connected to dish.
Sorry for using Freeview area to ask but are there any 'How to's' for the physical installation...ie. connecting to dish etc? I have a sky dish but no sky box. I presume this would connect straight to the box then I would follow instructions, as mentioned in the how to..'enigma' in the stickies?
I just aint sure if the box would connect the same, physically, as my old sky box did. Apologies for my complete ignorance.

We were all newbies @ some point dont worry about it m8....

Have a click on the Sat button @ the top of the Dw Home page should be able to get more info in there Regarding dreamboxs/Technomates etc.

Appreciated, Bigga m8...cheers.
Happy New year all BTW.
Many thanks for the help offered here. I am thinking of getting hold of a Technomate early this year, possibly making this a year long project JUST to get freeview!! lol.
I guess that the wall bracket that SKY engineer put up eons ago wld cope fine with a motorised dish, and the coax used from the dish to the sky receiver may work also (?) so the job might be simpler than I thought at first.
If this is correct then all I will need is the receiver and its motorised dish (possibly a complete kit etc)
Perhaps though I am wrong. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a nice CHEAP option? I'd consider new OR 2nd hand.

Ultimately, my hope would be to have a system that I can watch FTA channels and any other 'covetted things of the shop' ;) I dont have a Sky account anymore, just the fitted dish and coax.

My lazier option wld be to buy a freeview box (aeriel) and subscribe to top up stuff like Setanta etc, but I feel a bit of effort into the 1st option would yield better results...?
Thanks for all your help here.
