1) bus driver
the ability to PULL UP at the right time and place is a priceless gift in the field of bus driving. however, as this has nothing whatsoever to do with horse racing, i would not recommend it as an alternative career for any jockey suddenly finding themselves out of work.

2) superhero
travelling all over the country STOPPING speeding trains and bullets, while wearing brightly coloured outfits, are one of the many requirements of becoming a superhero, and because this has nothing whatsoever to do with horseriding. i will certainly not be recommending it as a career alternative.

3) taxi driver
being able to PULL UP once given the signal from those on the sidelines, is very important for anyone thinking of becoming a taxi driver, but as this has nothing to do with racing, taxi driving would be a bad career option for any jockey thinking of taking a break away from the game for whatever reason.

4) street hooker
the ability to RIDE OUT A FINISH is something that street hookers dont really care about. much prefering to collect their cash before going through the motions. this is something that would never happen during a race, and therefore becoming a street hooker would not be a viable alternative to riding a horse.

5) nervous poker player
card players of a nervous disposition are notorious for DROPPING THEIR HANDS at crucial moments. this is defintely something that anyone involved in horse racing would know nothing about, and as such, nervous poker player would make a poor career choice for any jockey considering making a change.

6) england manager
national coaches are well known for NOT TRYING TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THEIR CHARGES. although often starting as favourites, they frequently fail to deliver, before blaming injury or poor tactical decisions when it all goes t1ts up. again this is something that would never happen during a race, and must be dismissed as a possible profession for any jockey suddenly finding themselves out of work.

7) becoming an inept sidekick to a comedian, who also works as a shakin stevens lookalike,
being made to look an idiot by a fake shake, is something that often takes years of practice, and once again, as this is definitely something you would never experience while being involved in the sport of kings. i will certainly not be recommending it!

all of the above would make poor money making alternatives, and can be immediately dismissed by any jockey considering a permant or temporary change of career.
thankyou
