TomTom hanging up on N73

HHHMMMMM. Bit of a head scratcher that mate.

Do you know anyone else with a N73 so you could borrow their phone and try it on theres ?

That would eliminate if it was a problem wit the actually handset or not .

Settings > Applications > App. manager

Software Installation = All
Online Certificate Check = Off

I've bought a USB card reader now and tried that and it still hangs up at the spinny world bit. I guess it's not compatable with the latest version of firmware.

Have you tried doin a Hard reset on the phone M8 ?

Read somewhere that you press *#7370# For a hard reset and it worked for them.

i have got the n73 and use tomtom 6.020. have had no problem at all with it mate. i think it may be something wrong with the software you have got. maybe a file has gone corrupt. try getting the software again and putting it on if that dont work do a hard reset.

I am getting the same problem as devilfish.The TomTom screen comes up with the rotating globe and that's it...just sits there and does that. I tried to update the phone and got (start-up failed) error. So i had to get it flashed at repair centre. It now has software version V 3.0638.0.0.1 30-10-2006. Does this actually work with tom tom

Finally got it working. I downloaded software from tomtomv6 sticky page 4 ( (((Process should be the same mate and you will need the same version of TomTom on both

I have now downloaded software from first post and it is working great. There seems to be a file missing from tom tom folder from above download. Don't know if that was problem

What was the file colin? Maybe that's my problem too. Could you attach the file here please?

In the tomtom folder was (Munich bin) file. When i downloaded software from first post it also had (data.chk) file in this folder aswell. I deleted (tomtom) folder and (tomtom.Mobile.v6.01......) files and replaced then with same name folders from your post (see below) and it worked after that

I found this on another forum...I'm sure it'll be usefull to someone.

This version is a working version for the Nokia S60v3 handsets - DOES NOT work on early handsets.
So far I know it works on the N80, N73, but NOT on the N91

LOL...been a while since this thread was active.

Conclusion...

I flashed it with the latest Music Edition firmware and tried again.

Working first time!
