Has anybody else encountered this problem.
I originally bought the Co-pilot software and GPS set a couple of years ago now. However the Destinator software that is used for that is gash.

Therefore I have obtained a copy of TomTom 5 to try out, software installs fine on my PDA but I have had no luck trying to get it to recognise my GPS system (its a wired type). Anybody had this problem or know how to fix it?

Check your PM's m8

Use WinFast Nav to change the settings on the GPS.

Yes, managed to get hold of Winfast.
The problem seemed to be that TomTom 5 doesn't recognise SIRF (my unit was running SIRF at a baud rate of 38400), was able to use Winfast to change my GPS reciever from SIRF to NMEA (at a baud rate of 4800).
