thanks is there a default password on the box i couldnt get it to connect on tcc

password will be blank. tcc doesnt like blank passwords.
download puttytel and change password

(not my work)
Most of the images have a common username root

The default password for the other images are generally as follows;

Username = root
Password for Beta image = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)
Password for DS image = dsteam
Password for juliet = technomate
Password for UR5/6 = admin
Password for UKUR = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)
Password for EDG = BLANK (AS IN NOTHING)

It won't be the super hub. It was probably a password locked by a trader.

I don't think it will.

You will need to use Technomate control centre and reflash the image. Make sure you select the factory options details. You will lose everything on the receiver though.

thats the problem i cant get it to connect im gonna buy a rs232 cable tomorrow that should fix it right?

Sorry, should have said so. You will need the null modem cable. Plug in the ethernet cable too and enter the details.

ive got it to work found where i was going wrong was plugging it into the computer (thats how i did it on my dbox2) i left it pugged into the superhub. do sky uk bouquet off other models work on the 500?
