The Mrs is making buy a PS2 so she can play SingStar and Guitar Hero, now its been a long time since i looked into anything about chipping and modding PS2's

What is available for the Slim Line PS2's? I have heard there is a simple Hard Drive Hack that allows you to play ISO from a USB HDD??

Please any links and help will be great, i cant belive the cost of the PS2 still atm nearly £150 for the bits we want :E

I'd dodge the PS2 and go for a Xbox360, Guitar Hero is available on that and it's a far superior machine.

PS2 wise, you don't need to chip it mate, the Swap Magic boot discs will play any backup, expect to pay less than £20 for it.

I did have a 360 but sold it on once it got the 3 Red Light error.

The USB HDD sucks as it's onlu USB V1 on PS2. You can buy a no solder kit which includes 2 discs, one for loading up CD games and one for loading up DVD games and the little plastic parts for tricking the PS2 into thinking the lid is shut. We use it on our slim PS2 and never had a problem. Think it's called Swap Magic.
