Just bought this off ebay, this is the fault description:

their is a line down the centre of screen and colour
is disorted hence spares or repair and sold as seen

Have read around and a few people are saying its some 10ohm resistor?

I have repaired old crt tv's back in the days lol but no lcd's.

Any pointers? also, wheres the best place to buy parts?

as these are generic sets and badged differently, searching for that brand and fault i couldnt find anything, but did find this, for a very similar fault, on a telly that could have the same chassis

100 ohm resistor connected to pin 6 of the frame output chip was o/c. The IC is TDA8356. The resistor is R704 and is on top of a small hole in the chassis

Ok just received tv and looks like bad news.

Will see if i can get cheap screen from somewhere.

ive got 3 of those type of tv here m8, identical to look at, untill you take the back off, finding an interchangable screen is a mission and a half
