A strange thing happened today. I was browsing VOIP services on the Google Play store, as my mobile operator charges extortionate rates for overseas calls.
About an hour later I did my daily sweep of the spam folder (Gmail) and lo! There was a spam email (purporting?) to be from a VOIP company. Now I get a fair amount of spam (I think too many of my contacts have hotmail accounts) - most of it predictable stuff but I don't recall ever getting one from a VOIP company. Massive coincidence or could it be my browsing is being snooped?
