CD & DVD SVCD-VCD??? Help!

Hi all, just bought some VCDs and all is great. except one of them is SVCD. My DVD player recognises it as SVCD but wont play it. Can i copy the whole disc to my hard drive and somehow convert it to VCD??

You should be able to do it using TMPG Editor. Copy the mpg2 file to your hard drive. Load it into TMPG Editor. Load VideoCD (PAL) from the templates and then convert. Burn result as VCD using Nero.

Cheers for the sware, only thing is it wont recognise the mpg file, ive tried splitting it into video and audio but it tells me the file is not supported. any ideas

what u want to take off is the data file convert this to mpeg1 <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

You will probably have to convert it first using Virtual Dub. Load file, Set up parameters such as Frame rate, Audio, compression etc. May take a while.
