Suarez banned for 8 matches!

Wow so Suarez is officially a racist what a complete shock ! Another charming character trait to add to his list lol. 8 games does seem harsh but that will most likely be appealed and reduced (i wonder if he fails appeal will the ban be extended like threatened with Rooney?)
A warning to other players that racism will not be tolerated and if the FA allowed this to pass then they were always asking for trouble, I wonder how Dogleash will react since he gave the player his and the clubs full support throughout the matter, and i wonder how long before we get the apology HA....
Got what he deserved imo he's one of the games biggest arseholes and speaking of which John Terry should get similar treatment if found guilty and in his case guilty until proven innocent pmsl.

ad like to see the proof he said anythink.. how can u take the word of a proven lier.well they do say 3rd time lucky. and the other 2 claims of some 1 being racist towards him got no were.liverpoolFC statement
We find it extraordinary that Luis can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone when no-one else on the field of play - including Evra's own Manchester United teammates and all the match officials - heard the alleged conversation between the two players in a crowded Kop goalmouth while a corner kick was about to be taken.which lfc have been told by the F.A to take the statement of there site or pay a fine.mr terry must be crapping it if u can be found guilty with out proof !!!!

forget racism the guys a fooking cheat. He is a half decent player but if the wind hits him he will be flying away.

For any concerned Liverpool fans Suarez wont be banned for any European games ................................................
..... Oh wait pmsl

i think 8 games is harsh but he knew he had said something wrong and so does the manager or they wouldnt keep saying its not racist were he comes from

i cant stand the man myself.but u cant find some 1 guilty on the word of another person.and the middle finger wen they played fulham doesent help.and does any body know for sure what was said ? and not what ppl think he said.wonder who was on the panel of the F.A when he was found guilty and if they will realise there findings

His defence went from saying nothing to admitting to saying the word "negritto" making him both a liar and guilty of racist comments. Apparently it is not considered racist in his country and that was the basis for his defence once it was clear he could not deny it entirely.
Let's see just how long that statement last on the Liverpool website before it gets pulled ! They have done themselves and the club no favors with that little gem. Lets kick racism out of football or better still give it an 8 match ban and blame Evra.
Surely this is now a police matter never mind anything else.

If his 8 games are upheld guess which game he returns for lol ... Unless of course he gets further banned for his middle finger gestures toward the Fulham crowd.....ooops another can of conspiracy worms. Its not poor Luis fault that trouble follows him round roflmao

Im Not going to say a word

This is the full statement posted on Liverpools official site, dont think it will last long so here it is in case it gets pulled.
Just to skim over it quickly it's basically saying he cant be guilty of racist comments because he has black freinds lol well hey fk it it worked for Sep Blatter pmsl

Liverpool Football Club is very surprised and disappointed with the decision of the Football Association Commission to find Luis Suarez guilty of the charges against him.

We look forward to the publication of the Commission's Judgment. We will study the detailed reasons of the Commission once they become available, but reserve our right to appeal or take any other course of action we feel appropriate with regards to this situation.

We find it extraordinary that Luis can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone when no-one else on the field of play - including Evra's own Manchester United teammates and all the match officials - heard the alleged conversation between the two players in a crowded Kop goalmouth while a corner kick was about to be taken.

The Club takes extremely seriously the fight against all forms of discrimination and has a long and successful track record in work relating to anti-racist activity and social inclusion. We remain committed to this ideal and equality for all, irrespective of a person's background.

LFC considers racism in any form to be unacceptable - without compromise. It is our strong held belief, having gone over the facts of the case, that Luis Suarez did not commit any racist act. It is also our opinion that the accusation by this particular player was not credible - certainly no more credible than his prior unfounded accusations.

It is key to note that Patrice Evra himself in his written statement in this case said 'I don't think that Luis Suarez is racist'. The FA in their opening remarks accepted that Luis Suarez was not racist.

Luis himself is of a mixed race family background as his grandfather was black. He has been personally involved since the 2010 World Cup in a charitable project which uses sport to encourage solidarity amongst people of different backgrounds with the central theme that the colour of a person's skin does not matter; they can all play together as a team.

He has played with black players and mixed with their families whilst with the Uruguay national side and was Captain at Ajax Amsterdam of a team with a proud multi-cultural profile, many of whom became good friends.

It seems incredible to us that a player of mixed heritage should be accused and found guilty in the way he has based on the evidence presented. We do not recognise the way in which Luis Suarez has been characterised.

It appears to us that the FA were determined to bring charges against Luis Suarez, even before interviewing him at the beginning of November. Nothing we have heard in the course of the hearing has changed our view that Luis Suarez is innocent of the charges brought against him and we will provide Luis with whatever support he now needs to clear his name.

We would also like to know when the FA intend to charge Patrice Evra with making abusive remarks to an opponent after he admitted himself in his evidence to insulting Luis Suarez in Spanish in the most objectionable of terms. Luis, to his credit, actually told the FA he had not heard the insult.

He's part black himself , his grandad is black !!
What i cant understand is how can a black guy call another black guy nigger but whites cant use the word ?
Also slightly off topic, Kelly Rowlands kept calling Misha b "mamma " on X factor, If any of the other judges
had called her that the papers would have gone mad

Hitler had Jewish roots ..... Go figure

As much as I love to see a good crisis in scouseland I think this is just ridiculous. Evra has been found to be a liar in the past, if someone can be found guilty of racism based on the testimony of one person will that be the rule from now on? So what if Chelsea are playing man utd 10 games before the end fo the season, Drogba comes in after the match and says, rooney, giggs, carrick, vidic, park and berbatov all called him a "negrito" does that mean they will all be banned for 8 games and basically cripple them in the run in?
Same situation if two teams meet in the league and are drawn in the cup final a few weeks later. will someones word be taken without any proof?

The FA are really going to open a can of worms on this one, they are taking the word of a player who has played the racism card before and was found to be lying, Suarez has admitted using a word that is not deemed racist in his own language and was not aware that it was a racist term in english, Evra has said that he doesn't think Suarez is a racist. The FA had many a chance to give Suarez a warning and put it down to a mis understanding. The way that FIFA, UEFA and the FA are treating the game the players will be wearing GPS chips, carrying voice recorders and will not be anywhere near the ball in case they breath on another player and they give them the flu!!!!!

+1 to theblueirish.

Absolutely ridiculous, back to our proverbial overly PC state which we have created for ourselves.

I've had heated debates and arguments with people I know, and whilst that's what it is, I still do it in such a way or to end the conversation to make my point because he's a friend or colleague, doesn't mean that there is an underlying hatred because you disagree on something.

Finding it hard to put over in text what I mean because it's body language and tone etc, but all Suaraz has done is use what he's deemed appropriate in his own language and context to do the same, no different than If I end something saying, "Come on, be reasonable stop being an idiot mate" *cheeky smile*

The word that has offended literally translates as 'little black fella' but is argued to be generally an affectionate term in Suarez's native Uruguay and other parts of South America.
