Ive been searching for an answer but cannot find one at all so im guessing its not possible but thought id ask. I have a hdd formatted by the vu solo and works perfectly but my question is - is there a way for me to veiw/copy the recording to my laptop for editing etc? When I plug in the drive it doesnt appear in windows but appears in disk manager

Use ftp software like flashfxp and you can connect to the vu through your network and transfer them to your pc that way

The HDD is in a Linux filesystem, ext3 or ext 4. That is why windows does not display it.

There are programs that will let you read the drive. May be faster than ftp.
