I am thinking of swapping out the standard HDD for a SSHD. Do you think there will be any speed increase when playing online games and any increase in boot up times etc.

Has anyone here thinking of or has put a SSHD in their PS4?

Not tried it myself but there are some videos on youtube. May be worth taking a look.

Will do. Looking through the app install sizes its clear a 500Gb HDD will fill up very quickly. COD Ghosts for example takes up 38Gb of storage!!

Another option would be a hybrid drive, which would be cheaper than the ssd and you'd still see a performance improvement.

I guess you need to do it sooner than later as you wont be able to transfer across any current games or saves?

SSHD deffo way to go, not sure whether a PS4 would handle trim with a SSD.

comparisons look positive with a SSHD, got a 1Tb SSHD for £69 which I thought was a good deal.

PS+ allows game saves to be stored online and its quick and easy to reinstall games etc.
