sound problems

hi guys my sound has just stopped working all of a sudden. i have re-installed all software and drivers but the problem is still there. i cant play any sound and one thing i have noticed is that in control panel and sound and devices my playback device keeps changing to blank even if i apply settings onto the correct device as soon as i ok it and go back in its blank again. any ideas as i am scratching my head quite hard now.lol. thanks in advance.

If it just suddenly happened, try doing a system restore.

As above, otherwise have a look at you bios settings.

uninstall all of your audio drivers and software and then reboot machine and reinstall as windows detects.

What's it saying under device manager? Is there a yellow question mark next to sound devices? If so it's defintley a driver issue? Have you tried updating driver under device manager?

no exclamationmarks drivers are fine just keeps changing in sound and audio devices. windows media player works fine just not online stuff

is your sound onboard or pci? if it onboard check in bios its not disable
